What’s fantastic about guilt is how it twists your insides into knots so tight you want to make sure you never feel that way again. And so you learn. You learn not to do things because of the dark loathing you accumulate when you disappoint yourself, and it’s entirely your own fault. Guilt keeps us from making the same mistakes, if you listen to it right.
